Description Of Metro 2033

Metro 2033 is a post-apocalyptic action video game that combines elements of survival horror and first-person shooters.
The game is based on the novel Metro 2033 by Russian writer Dmitry Glukhovsky. It was developed by 4A Games in Ukraine and released in March 2010 for Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows.
In March 2009, 4A Games announced a partnership with Glukhovsky to collaborate on the game. It was then announced a few months later, at the Games Convention in Leipzig 2009, also showing the first official trailer.
In May 2013, the sequel Metro: Last Light was released.
On August 26, 2014, the bundle containing Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light called Metro Redux for next-gen consoles (Xbox One and PlayStation 4), and Metro: Last Light Redux for Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, and SteamOS, was released.
Plot
Moscow, the year 2033. Following a nuclear war, the survivors are forced to live in the subways of the Russian capital, organized in stations similar to city-states. In the latter, there is an oppressive and distressing atmosphere. The darkness hides many pitfalls, including the frequent possibility of running into monstrous creatures that populate the tunnels. The main threat is represented by the Dark, humanoid beings with great psychic abilities, defined as the "Novi Homines", the "winners of the battle for survival", and destined to inherit the Earth.
The character played by the player is Artyom, who grew up in the "Expo" station, located in the northern districts of Moscow. Upon the arrival of a mysterious friend of his stepfather, named Hunter, he is secretly instructed to carry a message of vital importance to the most important and largest station called Polis, explaining to the Spartans, a military association aimed at preserving peace and order in the subway, the menace of the dark ones.
Thus begins the journey of his character, full of pitfalls, during which he will meet the most monstrous creatures derived from radiation, bandits, criminals, and rangers. Upon reaching Polis, the player is received by the Spartan commander, who introduces himself as Colonel Miller. Apologizing for the decision of the Polis council (which decided not to intervene to help Artyom station), he reveals the presence of an intact missile base near the city. Miller does not know where he is, but he does know where information can be found regarding the missile complex and its bunker, called D6, in the Lenin Library, not far from Polis.
Leaving the metro again, the player will have to face the hidden pitfalls inside the library and will have to retrieve documents that can lead to the D6; he then begins his wanderings, together with other rangers, towards the base. Reaching the bunker below the complex, the character realizes that the equipment is out of order and that his collaboration is needed to repair them; completed this assignment, he will abandon the D6 to go with Miller towards the Ostankino Tower, to regulate the launch of the missiles towards the "Gardens", where there is a huge complex inhabited by the Bleak.
Once on the top of the tower, with the missile guidance system installed and ready, the player will run into two different endings: in the first (the one also described in the novel) Artyom will launch the missiles toward the Gardens, killing the Darks. This ending will be obtained if the player has killed a large number of human opponents and if he has not done specific actions. In the second ending, however, Artyom will come into contact with a Grim, who will tell him that they (the Grim) do not intend to kill humans but to get in touch with them, to collaborate and live together. In fact, they had no hostile intentions, but humans had always attacked them. This ending implies that the events of the second game (Metro Last Light) do not happen.
