The Collector: is the powerful and mysterious head of the Lodge. His only vice is cars and his goal is to take control of the Silver Rock crime scene and become part of the mysterious Arkright. At the end of the game, he will be forced to flee to Japan to save himself. He never appears in person, although in the final scene he is seen arriving aboard one of his cars, a Honda NSX (NC1).
The Broker: She is a mysterious fixer with important knowledge determined to bring down the Lodge and defeat the Collector. She assigns various jobs to Jess throughout the story. At the end of the game, she moves to Japan to hunt down the Collector. He drives a Porsche Panamera Turbo (971).

The IGN review praised the EA for solving the main problems present in Need for Speed, but at the same time criticized, among other things, the plot, the lack of chases with the police during free exploration, the presence of prepared police chases, reward crate-style mechanics when customizing vehicles, poor vehicle handling, and significantly unrealistic car damage. PC World criticized, among other things, the massive presence of microtransactions, the very limited personalization of the cars, the mechanics of the gameplay, and the lack of a view from the cockpit, comparing it negatively to the titles of the Forza Horizon series. According to The NPD Group, the game was the seventh best-selling game in the United States in 2017.
